Statement of Faith
1. We believe in one supreme, all-powerful, all-knowing, everwhere-present, always existing God, expressed in three persons: The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1,2, 26; 3:22; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-3; 10:30.)
2. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son, having existed from eternity past with the Father, came to earth having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to the virgin Mary. He lived on earth a perfect, sinless life, was crucified, buried and rose again to provide mankind with salvation and eternal life. It is through belief in Jesus Christ alone that we can have eternal life. (John 1:1-3; 3:16; 14:6; Romans 10:9.)
3. We believe that mankind began with two humans -- Adam and Eve -- made in the image of God and in a state of perfect innocence. Through disobedience they caused a sin nature to come upon all mankind, necessitating the need for the Savior. (Genesis 3; Romans 5:12.)
4. We believe in a literal 24 hour day creation as the only interpretation to Genesis that fits with the entire revealed message in God's Word. (Genesis 1; Exodus 20:11; 31:17.)
5. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, given to mankind through human instruments as moved by the Holy Spirit. It is the final authority for belief and practice for all mankind. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21.)
6. We believe that the Holy Spirit was sent into the world after the ascension of Christ to convict men of their sin and to teach, comfort, empower and seal believers. (John 14:16-17; 16:7-13; 2 Corinthians 1:22.)
7. We believe that each believer is part of the body of Christ, known as the Church, and is God's method for spreading the gospel and equipping the saints. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 12:4-5; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Ephesians 4:4-6.)
